The Colombia Carbon Forum 2025, scheduled for April 23 and 24 at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Salitre Headquarters, is shaping up to be the most prominent event in the carbon markets field in Colombia. This forum will bring together key actors from both public and private sectors, at national and international levels, to address the challenges and opportunities in the transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Carbono Local, co-founded by Nataly Cubillos, is dedicated to implementing emission reduction and environmental conservation projects. One of their flagship projects is Carbono Vivo, focused on generating carbon credits through sustainable livestock practices under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). This project seeks to integrate sustainable livestock practices that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions while promoting the economic development of rural communities.

Nataly Cubillos' participation in the forum will be prominent, as she will serve as a speaker in Panel II: Regulation in Carbon Project Development: Advances in the Legal Framework for Efficient Implementation, scheduled for April 24. This panel will discuss the advances and challenges in carbon project regulation in Colombia, providing a comprehensive view of the current legal framework and its impact on the effective implementation of emission reduction initiatives.

The agenda of the Colombia Carbon Forum 2025 includes panels and workshops addressing topics such as the regional integration of carbon markets in Latin America, the opportunities and challenges of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement for Colombia, and sectoral strategies for emission reduction. Additionally, new frontiers in carbon markets will be explored, including green hydrogen and technologies that revolutionize carbon credits.

The participation of Carbono Local and Carbono Vivo in this forum not only reinforces their commitment to sustainability but also provides them with the opportunity to establish strategic alliances, share knowledge, and position themselves as leaders in the transformation towards a low-carbon economy in Colombia and the region.
